Information about appointments
Here at Rochedale Doctors, our standard appointment time is 15 minutes.
If you have several things to discuss with the doctor or you believe you may need longer (e.g. for medical examinations, health reviews with pap smears, care plans etc.), please notify the receptionist at the time of booking, so a longer appointment can be booked. This is extremely vital to remember so we can keep our doctors on time.
If you do not notify reception, the Doctor will not have time to address all of your concerns in one visit. So you may need to re-book for another time.
Appointment scheduling
We do our best to keep the Doctors on time, however, due to the nature of the industry, we may have emergencies that could set us back. If this is the case we will always do our best to let you know as soon as possible. We appreciate your understanding during these times.
Walk-in appointments are available, however, this will be dependent on the Doctor’s availability. Please understand that we will always do our best to fit you in where possible.

Vaccinations
All vaccinations available in stock. Please enquire at Reception.
An appointment with a GP is required before vaccinations will be administered.
Prescriptions
Doctors who work at Rochedale Doctors DO NOT under ANY circumstances prescribe narcotics and benzos.
Scripts for dangerous drugs will not be issued to patients on their first visit.
Work Related Injuries
Appointments for work-related injuries/ claims NOT going through WorkCoverQLD will be subject to the practice fees shown above.
Reminder System
We have a convenient reminder system whereby we can notify patients when they are due for immunisations, Pap smears, blood tests, health checks and any other important follow-up appointments or procedures.
If you wish to be included in our reminder system, please advise reception.
Referrals and Medical Certificates
Medical Certificates & referrals to specialists will require an appointment. This includes Centrelink, WorkCover certificates, Pathology and Radiology request forms.
For legal reasons, “Backdating” of Medical Certificates and referrals is not possible under any circumstances.
Results
All patients must return to their Doctor to receive and discuss results. Our team will not under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES give results over the phone.
Results are typically received within the week unless advised otherwise by your Doctor.
After Hours
We understand you may have health concerns outside of our operating hours. For these situations, please get in touch with Hello Home Doctor on 134 100.
Details of any hospital visits will be sent back to us for continuity of care.
